ABOUT THE DIRECTORATE

Introduction

The Directorate of Research and Innovation was established in the year 2012 after complying with all the statutory provisions and other guidelines as issued by UGC. The Directorate of Research and Innovation is led by the Director, supported by the Assistant Directors, Research Officer and Administrative Consultant for the smooth functioning of the Directorate. The Directorate strictly follows all the regulations, provisions, and guidelines issued by the UGC from time to time and accordingly incorporates the same in its research ordinances for proper implementation.

The Directorate of Research and Innovation is continuously striving for streamlining the process of research work, exploring key research areas, and designing strategies for the accomplishment of research goals. The flagship programme of the Directorate is Ph.D. Programme which is offered in various disciplines of study. At present, the University is offering Ph.D. Programme in fourteen disciplines.

COLLABORATION & INNOVATION

Connecting Research with Academia and Industry

To provide exposure and enhance the understanding of research scholars, the Directorate invites experts from Academia and Industry to teach research skills, turn ideas into practice and identify social and commercial opportunities.

Industry personnel are also placed on the Planning Board and other Panels to create an impact on research, education and practice. The Directorate also supports collaborative projects between researchers, University faculty and students seeking to innovate in partnership with national and international organisations.

The Directorate strives to strengthen research, Open and Distance Learning, student support, and innovative academic practices to address local, regional and national educational needs.
