Dr.Priyanka Sharma is working as an assistant professor (AC) in the Department of Botany, School of Science at Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani Since August 2024 to till date. Dr. Priyanka Sharma got Ph.D. degree in 2021 from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. Her ambitious work entitled "In silico studies of compounds of plants used in the preparation of Chyawanprash. She was successfully completed all targeted tasks in the field of in-silico, in-vitro and in-vivo study.

Dr. Sharma is an accomplished researcher, with a publication record of 27 research papers in SCI-indexed journals and six book chapters. She has also secured one international patent and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Her primary research interests lie in bioinformatics, molecular dynamics simulation, and computational drug discovery, with a strong emphasis on bridging traditional Ayurvedic medicinal plants and modern scientific applications. Known for her dedication and integrity, Dr. Sharma has demonstrated expertise in molecular modeling, molecular dynamics simulation, data mining, network pharmacology, and in-silico drug discovery of natural products.

Dr. Sharma has also held a Research Associate fellowship awarded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, which further enriches her experience and contributions to scientific research.
