Dr. Khashti Dasila is an Assistant Professor (AC) at the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, Uttarakhand, since August 2024. Previously, she served as a Guest Faculty in Microbiology at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan. She completed her MSc (Microbiology) from Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar and PhD in Biotechnology from Kumaun University, Nainital, in collaboration with G. B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE), Kosi-Katarmal, Almora, Uttarakhand. She worked her postdoctoral research as Project Associate at GBP-National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE) in Almora, Uttarakhand focusing on developing effective monitoring systems for plant diversity and forest resources in the context of climate change. She presented her research work at various National and International conferences.
Thesis title: Bioprospection of root associated endophytes in Himalayan Birch (Betula utilis D. Don) from North Western Himalaya.
