School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences offers many programmes of study in Yoga, Home Science and Ayurveda. All Programmes are recognized by, UGC and DEB.

The Department of Yoga offers Ph.D. (Yoga), Master of Arts (Yoga), B.A. Yoga (Hons), Diploma in Yogic Science, Certificate in Naturopathy and Certificate in Yogic Science programmes. A large number of learners take admission in these programmes every year. Further, the Department of Home Science offers Ph.D. (Home Science), Master of Arts (Home Science) and Interschool Bachelor Degree programme.

Yoga and Ayurveda education prepare the learners physically and mentally for the integration of their physical, mental and spiritual faculties so that they become healthier, saner and more integrated members of the society and of the nation.

Yoga education could help to equip oneself with basic knowledge about one's personality, to learn to handle oneself well in all life situations, to learn techniques of gaining good health, to develop a discriminative mind capable of distinguishing between the real and the unreal and to face the dualities of life with equanimity.

Home science has a vital role to play in increasing the capacity of the family and the community. It is an interdisciplinary field that is related to both the fields of social-sciences and sciences.
