Notice for Counselling for Admission

Master of Computer Applications

The counselling and document verification for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA-21) program for the summer session of year 2022-23 is scheduled on 18 and 19 Sep., 2022 at the following centres:

The admissions for MCA are offered for Model Study Centre, Haldwani(Code: 16000) and the medium of teaching is ENGLISH only. The learners are directed to check the eligibility for the admission before attending the counselling:

a.       Passed MCA entrance test conducted by the Uttarakhand Open University.

b.      Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree like PGDCA diploma from UGC recognised University, A- Level from DOEACC with graduation, etc.  and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

Or

B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at l0+2 Level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination. In this case, the candidate has to pass a bridge course of 1 year duration (DCA Program) before admission to 2-year MCA program.https://www.uou.ac.in/progdetail?pid=DCA-21

c.       Incase, the candidate do not had mathematics at 10+2 / graduation level, he has to clear an additional paper of Sr.Secondary : MathematicsBy Dr. Rajendra Kumar Nayak, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)  from SWAYAM. d.      The candidate has to bring all the educational documents starting from 10 onwards for verification along with the category certificate, if applicable. Following documents are required:

                                                               i.      Class X marksheet and certificate

                                                             ii.      Class XI marksheet and certificate

                                                            iii.      Graduation marksheets and degree/provisional degree

                                                           iv.      Category certificate along with permanent residence certificate, if applicable

                                                             v.      Aadhar card/PAN Card/Voter ID/ Passport/ Driving License

                                                           vi.      Passport size photograph

                                                          vii.      Bank Chalan of Rs. 11,650/- in favour of UOU for MCA or Rs.3250/- for Bridge Course. Learners not opting for the hard copy of the SLM shall be provided with the concession of 15% in the program fee only.
