Dr. Deepti Negi is working as an Assistant Professor (AC) in Department of Forestry and Environmental science under the School of Earth and Environment Science at Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani since August 2024. She did her Ph.D. in Botany from the Department of Botany, D. S. B. Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital in collaboration with G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development. She has published a number of research papers in various reputed international and national journals. She has worked in a biosphere reserve project funded by MoEF&CC entitled as “Inventorization and Monitoring of Biosphere Reserves in India using RS and GIS Technology”. She has software skills in ERDAS-imagine, Arc-GIS, Google earth, SPSS, Microsoft-Office, Microsoft Excel, Zoom, and Google meet, etc.
Thesis Title: “Ecological study of certain Medicinal Plants of Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve, Trans Himalaya with special reference to their Antioxidant Potential”.
Research Area and Specialization: Biodiversity conservation, Ecological Niche Modelling, Species Prioritization, Climate Change, Digital Image Processing and Mapping.
