Dr. Anjana Devi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at the School of Education, Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani, Nainital. With over fifteen years of experience in teaching and academic leadership, she has served in reputable schools and higher education institutions, including her tenure as Head of the Department at Swami Vivekanand College of Management and Technology, Gaulapar (2019–2025).
She holds a Ph.D. in Education, is UGC-NET qualified, and has pursued multiple postgraduate degrees in Education, Political Science, Hindi, and Economics. She has authored the books "Pedagogy of Social Science" and "Uttarakhand L.T.Shikshan Abhivrtti Evam Abhiruchi." She has also contributed several chapters to edited volumes and published numerous research papers in nationaland international journals. Her academic contributions have been recognised with the Shiksha Ratan Samman awarded by Kalindi Prakashan, the Utkrsht Shiksha Sammaan by Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, and the ShaktiVaandhan Samman by S.R.S.T. College of Education, Owa Makhdumpur Jehanabad,Bihar.
Dr. Devi has actively participated in a wide range ofnational and international seminars, conferences, and workshops, including orientation and capacity-building programmes on NEP 2020 under the UGC Malaviya Mission. Her areas of interest span Inclusive Education, Pedagogy of Social Sciences, Women’s Studies, and Educational Philosophy, with a strong focus oninnovation, teacher training, and academic development.
