Finance Controller
Surya Pratap Singh is PCS-2017 batch officer of Uttarakhand Finance Service Cadre. He assumed the charge of Finance Controller on 22 June, 2024.
He has a vast experience and exposure of financial administration in different departments of Government of Uttarakhand.
Prior to joining in Uttarakhand Open University, he served as Treasury Officer, Chief Treasury Officer, Finance Officer/Finance Controller in Education Department, District Development Authority, Government Medical College, Municipal Corporation, Food and Civil Supplies Department and as GM(Finance) in Uttarakhand Agriculture Produce Marketing Board.
Financial Administration & Institutional Development
Extensive experience in financial administration across different departments and institutions of the Government of Uttarakhand.
Served as Treasury Officer and Chief Treasury Officer, contributing to effective financial management and administrative processes.
Served as Finance Officer and Finance Controller in educational and other public institutions.
Experience includes financial responsibilities in the Government Medical College, Municipal Corporation and other public-sector institutions.
Financial Planning for Long-Term Institutional Development
Financial Planning with long term development of the institution is the key focus area of his planning. He takes an avid interest in infrastructural and other development projects of the university while maintaining a strong level of financial discipline.
