NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) Local Chapter in UOU

Uttarakhand Open University is pleased to announce that a Local Chapter of NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) has been established in UOU. NPTEL is an initiative of seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) for creating video and web course contents in engineering and science. There are 900+ web and video courses across 23 disciplines available for download and viewing on the NPTEL web site distributed under the CC-BY-SA license.
Learners of Uttarakhand Open University are invited to take advantage of this excellent opportunity. These programmes can be offered to enhance and substantiate the learning.  Accordingly, one may offer these programmes as add-on certificates from the prestigious Institutes like IITs. However, if one wishes to obtain a certificate also, only the examination fees shall be payable. Thus, learning is free, though, the certificate has its cost. The entire policy is in tune with the Hon’ble Prime-Minister’s vision of imparting skills to the youngsters of the country.
